RECORDS MANAGEMENT OFFICER – TWO (2) POSTS – V/NO. 63/2021
Gross Salary: Ksh. 121,851 – 185,534 p.m
(Salary includes 60% basic pay and 40% allowances)
Annual leave: 30 working days per financial year
Medical Cover : As provided by the Commission.
Terms of service: Three (3) years contract renewable subject to satisfactory performance
Qualifications
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have a Bachelors degree in Information Science/ Archives and Records Management or relevant qualification from a university recognized in Kenya.
Responsibilities
Duties and responsibilities at this level will include:
- Implementing policies, procedures and measures to control management of files and update the file index both manually and electronically for easy retrieval and monitoring of file movement;
- Participating in the development and implementation of filing procedures, verification and evaluation systems to ensure security of information and files;
- Ensuring compliance with applicable legal and administrative requirements pertaining to records management;
- Appraising records for disposal in accordance to the records policy of the Commission and follow the process on disposal of records and data;
- Attending to enquiries and requests for information from both internal and external clients with regard to records; and
- Maintaining an up-to-date database of records that are in the custody of the Directorates
