Assistant Health Records Information Management Officer III
Duties and Responsibilities
- receiving and documenting patients at hospital reception
- registering and booking appointment for patients to clinics and consultants
- storing and retrieving medical records documents
- preparing clinics and updating bed bureau
- editing of patient case records and gathering data from different sources
- capturing data from service points and maintaining record safety and confidentiality
- storing and retrieving medical records and balancing daily bed returns
- creating and maintaining master index and updating patient master index
- directing patients to relevant clinics and scheduling of patients to the consultants and Specialty clinics
- assigning codes to diseases and surgical procedures according to the International Classification of Diseases and Procedures in Medicine and preparing Health records and reports.
Requirements for Appointment
- Diploma in Health Records and Information Technology from a recognized institution; and
- Certificate in computer application skills from a recognized institution.
Support Staff III (4 Posts)
Duties and responsibilities
- Execute day–to–day office operations support duties as per duty roster to ensure smooth service delivery, liaising with the office administration staff on operational matters,
- observe agreed health and safety precautions in the course of duty
- provide messengerial duties and prepare and serve tea to staff.

- Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) or Certificate of Primary Education (CPE)
Assistant Office Administrator III (2 Posts)
Duties and Responsibilities
- taking oral dictation and word and data processing
- managing eoffice and ensuring security of office records, documents and equipment;
- maintaining an up to date filing system in the office
- operating office equipment and managing office protocol
- managing office petty cash
- handling telephone calls and appointments
- supervising office cleanliness and undertaking any other office administrative services duties that may be assigned.
Requirements for Appointment
- Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education, mean grade C– (minus) with at least C (plain) in English or Kiswahili Language or its equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;

Radiographers III (6 Posts)
Duties and Responsibilities
- Receiving and identifying patients for diagnostic and therapeutic procedures; providing basic diagnostic and therapeutic radiography services.
- Processing, verifying and maintaining information relating to patients; caring for and counseling patients and their guardian before, during and after the examination; applying radiation safety measures to self, patient and the public.
- Performing routine quality control checks.
Requirements for Appointment
- Diploma in Radiography or Medical Imaging Sciences or its equivalent qualification from a recognized Institution.
- Certificate in computer applications from a recognized institution.
- Registered by a relevant regulatory body and have a valid practicing license
Kenya Enrolled Community Health Nurse III
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assessing patients and clients and establishing health care needs
- Planning and implementing nursing care interventions based on patients’/clients’ health needs
- Providing appropriate healthcare service, including immunization, ante–natal care, delivery, referring patients and clients appropriately
- Evaluating healthcare outcomes on patients/clients preparing individualized reports
- Making appropriate discharge plan for patients
- Conducting assessment of school health needs

Orthopedic Technologist
Duties and responsibilities
- Manipulating and reducing fractures and dislocations; fixing and removing casts, bandages and tractions to and from patients
- correcting Congenital Talipes EquinoVarus (C.T.E.V)
- counseling patients/clients on issues regarding orthopaedic trauma
- cleaning and treating simple wounds resulting from orthopaedic trauma
- documenting orthopaedic and trauma case
- assessing and referring patients with musculoskeletal conditions.
Requirements for Appointment
- Diploma in Orthopaedic Plaster Technology from a recognized institution ; and

General Physician
Duties and responsibilities
- Offer specialized medical services at the county hospital
- Conduct daily ward rounds
- Conduct specialized MOPC (Medical Outpatient Clinics)
- Review cases that require consultant attention as they arise
- Supervise interns and medical students’ rotation in medical wards
- Any other relevant duty and responsibility within the County Health Department
Requirements for Appointment
- Bachelors degree in medicine and surgery from a recognized university
- MMED In Internal Medicine from a recognized university
- Be registered with medical practitioners and dentist board

Clinical Officer – Reproductive Health (Re-Advertisement) (2 Posts)
Duties and Responsibilities:–
- Offer curative services at outpatient or inpatient health facilities.
- Offering Reproductive Health services to both outpatients and inpatients
- Guiding and counseling patients /clients and staffs on health issues in relation to Reproductive Health.
- Collecting and Compiling Reproductive Health data for decision making
- Giving Reproductive Health advice to the hospital team in all matters pertaining to Reproductive Health
- Any other relevant clinical duties and responsibilities within the County Health Department
Requirements for Appointment
- Hold a diploma in Clinical Medicine and Surgery or Clinical Medicine and Community Health from a recognized institution.
- Have completed one year internship.
- Have a Higher National Diploma in Reproductive Health from a recognized institution
- Minimum three years after the basic diploma
